The Power Of Music…!

The power of music continues to fascinate me! Music connects us all in so many different ways. Music can motivate us, make us cry, laugh, dream, reminisce and even fall in love! :)

As a singersongwriter I get to experience this first hand. I’ve had some amazing experiences playing music for people and seeing how the power of music can change people’s lives forever.

At the beginning of my European tour this year, I was playing a concert in Belgium and this wonderful couple approached me after the show. We had a really great conversation for a few minutes and I always remembered that moment.

We stayed in touch and they invited me to perform at their home sometime. I didn’t hear anything from them for a while until I received an email one day asking for my help.

The story goes, that James (not his real name because I don’t know how he’d feel about me writing this blog with his real name :)

James realised that he had just let the woman of his dreams slip away from him! He sent me an email explaining his desperate situation and that he was lost without her.

He said he would do anything to win her love back. He explained to me that they always remembered my gig in Belgium and or conversation after the show. He asked me to help him win her heart back. He said that she likes my music and her favourite song from my debut album was “In Your Garden”.

He asked me could I record a live version of it for her in my wagon AKA “The Tank” and maybe say a few words for her, explaining how much he loves her and that she’s the only one for him and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

I recorded the song for him in “The Tank” and said a few words at the beginning.

I then sent him the song and he said that he was going to show it to her after he brought her out to her favorite restaurant!

That Monday morning I received an email from James! He said, that when he showed her the video, that she was so moved by this feeling of understanding and support she cried tears of joy and gratefulness. He said that they decided to take there relationship to another level and they even set a date for a ceremony in 2020 which they invited me too!

They even sent me pictures of them both together and her watching the video on an iPad listening with a pair of earphones in the restaurant!

I was so happy for them and extremely grateful that I was apart of this magical moment. Music had brought them back together and reconnected them once more!

Im very much looking forward to meeting them again and attending their special ceremony in 2020!
